What is PinPoint'm used for?
PinPoint'm can be used to track and locate a mobile phone or tablet, as well as a vehicle GPS Tracker. In the case of cell phones and tablets, if a person takes any of these devices with him, you'll be able to know where he/she is and where he/she has been. The same applies to anything you want to locate, such as a pet, a car, a bus, a truck, etc. In the case of vehicles it is exactly the same but instead cell phones or tablets you can use a compatible GPS Tracker.
What do I need to use PinPoint'm?
You just need to have a PinPoint'm account which can be created here and a mobile phone, tablet or GPS Tracker according to your needs.
Can I use it to spy someone?
PinPoint'm is a tracking and locating service to improve productivity and enhace security, it is not intended for spying, it requires the consent of the person to be tracked because the app has to be installed on his/her phone.
Can I know where my people were yesterday or the day before yesterday?
Sure, PinPoint'm keeps location history for 7 days (Premium Plans only).
Does GPS needs to be on all the time?
Not necessarily but it's recommended for better accuracy. PinPoint'm uses the better available location technology among GPS, WiFi and cellular networks.
How accurate is it?
Accuracy mostly depends on the location technology being used in the tracking device as well as the device itself, when GPS is used in open areas normally accuracy is very high regardless of whether it is in urban or rural areas, with WiFi and cellular networks in urban areas accuracy is acceptable and with only mobile networks in rural areas can be very variable. Another important accuracy factor to have in mind is cell phone's components quality.
Does it work without a SIM card?
PinPoint'm does not require a SIM card to register locations for cell phones or tablets, in fact it can be used without a SIM card in these devices, but locations information won’t be updated until the device is connected to Internet, either using a WiFi or a cellular network. Also keep in mind that without WiFi or cellular data connection, GPS must be activated on the device to gather locations. For GPS Tracking devices a SIM cards is required.
What about if I lose my mobile phone?
You can trace and locate it with another phone you have a tracking link with, if you don’t recover it, you can access PinPoint'm site with your account and delete it.
Can I share my location with someone else?
Sure, you can invite as many people as you want and create tracking links, define schedules and even share your location history. For your safety we recommend you to only share your location with people you trust, never share your location with strangers.
Can I find out if someone leads to speeding?
Yes, you can set speed limits to each of your account devices and when any of them exceed it an immediate alert will be sent to you with the location and speed. For this feature to work you devices need to have GPS enabled
I need to know where my elderly are, but they know nothing of technology
They do not require any expertise in technology, just make sure they carry on their cell phone and know how to turn it on, the rest in on your side, you will always be aware of their movements.
Can I use a monitor to supervise my fleet all the time?
Yes, you just need to have your devices in Premium Plus Plan, this plan allows you to track your devices from any PC using a web browser which that can be connected all the time, this way you can supervise your people at a glance.
